  • La plataforma se negó a pagar regalías a los artistas por sus canciones.

A través de un comunicado, la disquera Universal Music Group dio a conocer que el catálogo musical de sus artistas será retirado de TikTok, esto tras no llegar a un acuerdo con la plataforma.

Será a partir de este 31 de enero cuando las canciones de los artistas como Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Ariana Grande, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Harry Styles entre otros ya no estarán disponibles para ser usada en los videos que creen los usuarios.

Según la publicación, TikTok quiere construir un negocio basado en la música, pero no quiere pagar lo justo a los artistas y compositores, además de negarse a protegerlos de los daños que pueda causarle la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) a su música.
