Jalisco cuenta con una amplia red de servicios de salud mental.

Aunque la nueva Ley General de Salud establece la desaparición de los nosocomios psiquiátricos y convertidos a hospitales generales, el establecimiento conocido como “El Zapote” ahora será el Centro de Atención Integral en Salud Mental de Estancia Breve (Caisame), donde transformará su funcionamiento respecto a la atención de enfermedades mentales.

Jalisco cuenta con una amplia red de servicios de salud mental (SALME) creada en 2001 y que desde el 2020 implementó la estrategia “Quererte en casa” para atender la problemática de salud mental derivada en torno al nuevo coronavirus.
