El candidato a la presidencia del país por Movimiento Ciudadano, Jorge Álvarez Máynez, visitó Zacatecas y Aguascalientes como parte de su campaña, donde aseguró que el percance ocurrido en el Tren Maya está relacionado con la corrupción.

Agregó que deben investigarse las responsabilidades; no obstante, no tuvo consecuencias fatales como lamentablemente sucedió en el accidente ocurrido en la línea 12 del metro en el año 2021 en la Ciudad de México.
