FIL 2024: REALIZAN FORO SOBRE MIGRANTES JUBILADOS EN MÉXICO

  • Hablaron sobre migrantes jubilados que radican en México, principalmente en la Ribera de Chapala.

En el marco de la Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL) 2024 se realizó el Foro Internacional de Migración y Desarrollo “Migrantes jubilados” organizado por el Centro Universitario de Tlajomulco de la Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG).

En la mesa de dialogo participaron Amy Scanlon, Cónsul General de Estados Unidos en Guadalajara, Alejandro Aguirre Curiel, alcalde de Chapala, y Lydia Claire Bodin, residente en Ajijic, quienes hablaron sobre migrantes jubilados que radican en México, principalmente en la Ribera de Chapala.

En su intervención, Alejandro Aguirre manifestó que en ese municipio, principalmente en la delegación de Ajijic, hay entre 10 mil y 15 ciudadanos extranjeros, principalmente de Estados Unidos, que tienen su residencia permanente. Otros viven en Puerto Vallarta, San Miguel Allende, Mérida, Oaxaca, Rosarito y en Tulum de Canadá y Europa.
