Para reconocer, celebrar y promocionar uno de los elementos gastronómicos que forma parte del legado cultural y la identidad de las y los tapatíos, se celebró el Día Municipal del Tejuino en el Centro Histórico de Guadalajara.

Con escenario en el Paseo Fray Antonio Alcalde, alrededor de 30 expositores entregaron 25 mil tejuinos de manera gratuita para las y los visitantes del corazón de la ciudad.

En esta celebración se entregó un reconocimiento a Manuel Ornelas Gómez, “Don Marcelino”, por 67 años de trayectoria elaborando esta bebida tradicional en el barrio de la Capilla de Jesús.

Esta iniciativa impulsada por la regidora Kehila Ku Escalante, surge a raíz de una propuesta ciudadana de las y los productores de esta tradicional bebida, para reconocer su valor histórico y cultural.
