El seleccionado nacional mexicano, Alan Cleland, cerró la competencia inaugural celebrada en Hawaii, en el lugar 12 del ranking masculino de la World Surf League.

El nacido en Colima realizó su debut en el máximo circuito de la disciplina dentro del Lexus Pipe Pro, lo que representa su primera parada del tour en Estados Unidos, donde finalizó su actuación en la ronda de los 16vos de final.

Fueron 3 mil 320 puntos los que lo posicionaron en el décimo segundo lugar de la clasificación, mientras que el hawaiiano Barron Mamiya lideró la competencia con 10 mil unidades.

PARA SABER

Las actividades del Tour Mundial continuarán con la segunda prueba con sede en Abu Dabi, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, del 14 al 16 de febrero, y el mexicano buscará mantenerse en la zona alta de la tabla
